How Are the Images Named and Delivered for My StoreUpdated 6 days ago

After the AI product images are created and reviewed together, they get delivered in a format ready to upload directly to your Shopify store without any additional processing needed on your side.

Every image gets named using a consistent SEO-friendly convention — product name, image type and variant where relevant. File naming matters for search engine indexing. A file named ceramic-mug-blue-lifestyle-kitchen.jpg tells search engines exactly what the image shows. A file named img00247.jpg tells them nothing and misses the opportunity entirely.

Image delivery specifications:

  • File format — JPEG for photographs, PNG where a transparent background is needed
  • Resolution — optimized for web use, large enough for Shopify's zoom function but compressed for fast loading
  • Aspect ratios — sized for Shopify product pages and the primary social media platforms

Along with the images I share a brief guide explaining which image is which type, which ones to use as the hero image and which work best for ads versus product pages versus social media.

Nothing arrives as a confusing folder of unlabeled files. Every image is named, organized and ready to upload — so the time between receiving the delivery and having the images live on your store is as short as possible.
