How Is Each Blog Topic Chosen and Researched for My StoreUpdated 6 days ago
Topic selection is the most important decision in the entire service. The wrong topic produces content no one finds. The right topic brings in buyers already searching for what the store sells.
I research topics using search data specific to your product category — not based on what seems relevant or what competitors happen to be writing.
The process runs through four filters:
Search volume — is enough monthly searching happening on this topic to make ranking worthwhile?
Search intent — does the person searching want to learn or buy? Both are valid but produce different types of articles attracting buyers at different stages.
Competition — can a well-written new article outrank what currently ranks for this query?
Relevance to the product:
- Informational topics where the product is the natural solution introduced in the content
- Problem-focused topics where the buyer searches for solutions the product provides
- Comparison topics where the product needs to appear in the evaluation
After research I recommend the best topics with clear reasoning. If you have specific topics in mind, I research them against these filters and give an honest assessment of whether to prioritize them now.
