How Does the Mobile Experience Get Built and TestedUpdated 8 days ago
Over 70 percent of Shopify store traffic comes from mobile devices. A store that works beautifully on a desktop but poorly on a phone loses the majority of its potential buyers before they ever reach checkout.
I build and test the mobile experience as a primary consideration during the store setup — not as an afterthought once the desktop version looks right.
What the mobile build and testing covers:
- Every page reviewed on multiple screen sizes to confirm layout, readability and button sizing work correctly
- The add to cart button tested to confirm it is visible without excessive scrolling on a typical phone screen
- The checkout flow tested on mobile from product page through to order confirmation
- Images checked to confirm they load at appropriate speed and quality on a mobile connection
- Navigation tested to confirm menus are easy to use on a small screen
The most common mobile issues I find and fix during store setups are buttons too small to tap accurately, text that overflows on smaller screens, images that load slowly because they were not resized for mobile and checkout forms that behave unexpectedly on certain phone keyboards.
Every one of these gets resolved before the store is handed over so the experience is right for the majority of buyers from the first day the store is live.
