What Script Structure Is Used for Every Reel I ReceiveUpdated 6 days ago
Every reel I produce follows a four-part structure — hook, problem, solution and call to action. This structure is consistent across every video regardless of length or topic because it reflects how viewers actually process short-form content and maximizes the completion rate the algorithm uses to determine distribution.
The hook opens in the first one to three seconds with a statement, question or visual that earns the viewer's attention and signals to the right person that this video is specifically relevant to them.
The problem section names the specific challenge, frustration or misconception the viewer is facing — described in the words the viewer would use themselves, not in polished brand language.
The solution section — the majority of the runtime — presents the answer, method or product that resolves what was named:
- For educational reels this is the teaching portion
- For product reels this is where the product demonstrates its value in use
- For brand reels this is where the brand's perspective on the category gets communicated clearly
The call to action closes with one specific direction. One action, stated simply, immediately before the video ends — follow, visit the link in bio or check the specific product.
This structure is applied to every script because it is built around viewer behavior — and earning the completion that tells the algorithm to distribute the video more widely.
