What SEO Basics Get Fixed During a Full Store AuditUpdated 6 days ago

The store audit does not replace a full SEO setup service. What it does is identify and fix the most impactful SEO issues that are actively reducing the store's visibility in search right now.

For most stores that have been live for any length of time without a dedicated SEO setup, these issues are present and significant.

The SEO basics I check and fix during the audit include:

  • Missing or duplicate meta titles on product and collection pages — without clear meta titles search engines cannot categorise and rank each page effectively
  • Missing meta descriptions — these affect whether someone clicks through from search results even when the page ranks
  • Image alt text absent across product images — both an SEO and accessibility issue
  • URL slugs that are unclear, duplicated or auto-generated as long strings of numbers
  • Structured data errors preventing rich results from appearing

Each of these is a straightforward fix once identified. They do not require rebuilding the store. But leaving them unaddressed means the store is collecting significantly less organic traffic than it should be — and that gap affects consistent sales every day the issues remain in place.
